WIREFRAMES & SCREENFLOW
Thought Process
While creating the wireframes, there are a few constant questions in my mind in each and every screen.
1. What is the main purpose of this screen?
2. Which piece of information stands right at the top of the hierarchy?
3. How can I convey my information clearly without cluttering the screen with too much information?
4. Is there an alternative to such placement?
5. Is the overall style looks the same?
6. How can I reduce the differences between each screen to allow my players to feel that the screens are from the same game?
STYLE GUIDE
While creating the style guide, I try to learn from my past experiences and keep in mind that the style guide might be read by others even though I am working alone at that moment. Clarity of a style guide is important to tie the style of the UI together at the end of the development.
MOCK-UPS
While creating the mockup, there are still changes made. For example, the main menu screen has two different versions. The first version gives the player the choice to select other options, whereas the other version allows the player to jump straight into the game.
