Group discussion
Q: Should we add waiting time when players combine together.
A: No, we should not as the players will be focusing on the collectibles and obstacles coming their way.
Q: Should we add collectibles in the game?
A: Yeah, we should add collectibles to the game as it serves as a short-term goal for the players. It also serves as a guide when the players are playing.
Q: Should there be a waiting time for the players to split up.
A: Yes, there should be a very short waiting time for the player to split up as staying together has the benefits of having "extra health". This is also to confirm that the player wants to split up. However, the waiting time could not be too long as it might disrupt the players when making meaningful decisions when splitting up.
Q: What are the benefits for the players to stick together?
A: The players may overcome some obstacles even if they have hit them directly.
Q: How can we balance between players sticking together and separate them apart.
A: The level design, obstacle design, and collectibles placement allows them to come together or making a meaningful decision to separate to gain more points.
